Noel Vella is a biologist with interest in the application of genetics as a tool for conservation biology and management of marine species.

Noel Vella is a biologist with interest in the application of genetics as a tool for conservation biology and management of marine species. He has completed his PhD on the evolutionary relationship and genetic population structure of deep-water sharks, and has done a Post-Doc on genetics and its applications to accurately identify fish species. His research has been carried out at the Conservation Biology Research Group, University of Malta.
